Divine presences that bless our temple
The presiding deity of the temple, Lord Mrugavadheswara is worshipped in the form of a Shiva Linga that is believed to be self-manifested (Swayambhu). According to legend, the Linga appeared when a divine deer transformed into this sacred form.
The Linga is adorned with silver ornaments and receives daily abhishekams with water, milk, honey, and other sacred substances. The sanctum maintains a powerful spiritual energy that devotees report feeling during their darshan.
The divine consort of Lord Mrugavadheswara, Goddess Mrugavadheswari is worshipped in her benevolent form as Parvati. The goddess shrine faces the main sanctum, symbolizing the eternal connection between Shiva and Shakti.
The goddess is depicted in her standing form, adorned with gold jewelry and silk sarees that are changed daily according to temple traditions. Devotees especially worship her for marital harmony, family welfare, and spiritual growth.
